Grounded Motherhood

What does motherhood against the grain look like to me?

Living slowly in a fast-paced world.

Choosing natural health and remedies, and focusing on strong immune systems.

Keeping things simple in a world of overconsumption.

Unplug from noise and listen to your own intuition.

Television-free home and limiting screens.

Preparing nourishing meals for my family.

Prioritizing self-care on a daily/weekly basis. We got to model this for our little ones.

Intentional living and saying “yes” to only those things that are aligned with our values (and if it’s the right timing)..

Going back to the roots, even when society is pushing us forward.

Gentle and respectful parenting.

Breastfeeding past 1 year old (and no plans on stopping!).

Co-sleeping…also don’t know when we’re going to stop.

Joyfully taking care of our home and making it cozy, simple, tidy, and loving.

Traveling and hopping on lots of planes with a baby (now a toddler!).

Rest. Lots of guilt-free rest when possible.

Continuously practice gratitude for the season I’m in.

I’d love to hear from you! What does going against the grain in motherhood look like to you?
